Today we are sharing a great recipe that is healthy and nutritious. Hake, like many types of white fish, is an ingredient that has almost zero fat.

So it’s ideal for low-fat diets, as well as anyone with high cholesterol. Hake is also a food that is rich in high-quality proteins.

To help you from falling into a routine and to avoid always making the same dishes in the same ways, today we are going to show you a recipe that, with a splash of fruity color, is sure not to go overlooked!

You can grab the vegetables off of our original FRUITWALL fruit bowl ???? What do you think of how we’ve decorated it for our recipe?

Wow! A FRUITWALL will look beautiful in my kitchen

INGREDIENTS

  • Sliced hake
  • 3 small potatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 large lemon
  • 1 large orange
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Parsley and salt

PREPARATION

We start by thoroughly washing the potatoes. After washing, peel and cut the potatoes in circular slices. In a frying pan, add a generous splash of extra virgin olive oil. Add the sliced potatoes, and cook until lightly browned.

We could put the potatoes directly in the oven, but browning them first in oil will prevent them from burning. In an oven-safe tray or baking sheet, add another splash of extra virgin olive oil and add the browned potatoes, being sure to completely cover the base of the baking sheet.

Now it’s time to brown the onion, using the same frying pan and oil we used for the potatoes. Onion is a perfect addition to this dish, since its flavor combines fantastically with potatoes and a good olive oil. Once the onions are sweated and with a nice golden color, we spread them evenly on top of the potatoes.

Now is the perfect moment to add a splash of color to the recipe! Thoroughly wash the orange and lemon to get rid of any residue or substances that should not be ingested. Cut them in slices, and place them around the entire baking sheet.

To finish, we place the slices of hake in the center of the baking sheet. Add salt to taste, a little parsley, and another generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Bake for 45-50 minutes at 180°. For any lemon-lovers out there, juicing a lemon on top of the hake will add even more flavor!

Enjoy your meal!
